The crimson-roofed buildings sprawled beneath me from upper levels, offering a stunning vista. Every detail, from the intricately carved doors to the calming ambiance, spoke volumes about its rich history and continued significance.

𝟖. 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐓

Dive into a shopper's paradise at Dong Xuan, Hanoi's sprawling market by the river. This market boasts everything imaginable at wholesale prices, from budget souvenirs to unique local crafts, you'll find it all.   But keep in mind – friendly haggling is part of the experience! Prices aren't always set, so put your negotiating skills to the test.

For a short stopover or if you want to maximize your sightseeing, this tour is highly recommended. It whisked to far-flung attractions like the Hoa Lo Prison and Temple of Literature, offering glimpses of other landmarks too.

𝟏𝟑. 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐊 “𝐁𝐈𝐀 𝐇𝐎𝐈” & 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐆𝐎 𝐁𝐘

In Hanoi's Old Quarter, that memory comes alive with Bia Hoi, the city's daily-brewed, ridiculously cheap ($0.50!) nectar.

Crisp and crusty, it cradled a symphony of savory delights – shredded pork, pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro, and a creamy, garlicky aioli. Each bite was a textural contrast, the chewy bread yielding to the crunch of the vegetables and the tender pork.

In the bustling streets of Hanoi, a unique treat awaits: 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐧 (deep-fried glutinous rice ball) , a golden treasure trove waiting to be discovered. Imagine this: a crispy, sesame-studded shell encasing a fluffy, sweet interior, offering a delightful textural and flavor contrast in every bite.

In the heart of Hanoi, a culinary journey awaits: 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐨 (Baozi) .
