MINH A. NGUYEN, CHIP LEADER OF MAIN EVENT DAY 1D WITH A RECORD CHIP COUNT, TOURNAMENT ATTRACTS MANY VETERAN PLAYERS
Event #9: Main Event Day 1D, 1E & 1F
Yesterday was a very exciting day at the APF Vietnam 2023, as the final 3 flights of the Main Event took place simultaneously, recording 386 entries and raising the total number of entries in the tournament to 649. Minh A. Nguyen – chip leader of flight 1D and currently also the chip leader of the entire tournament, with a record chip count of 1,076,000 chips.
Closely following behind is Indian player Abhishek Sharma, the chip leader of the Main Event flight 1E with 889,000 chips.
In the final flight of the tournament, the chip leader of Main Event Day 1F is Australian player Yita Choong with 557,000 chips.
In addition to the qualified players of the second day of the Main Event, we can also easily recognize some veteran players, such as Nguyen Van Sang - champion of APT Hanoi Billion 2023, Kunal Patni, Hamatu – WPC champion, or Huydz - Poker Dream champion… This proves that the Asian Poker Festival is extremely attractive to players from Vietnam and around the world.
There are a total of 85 qualified players on the second day of the prestigious Main Event tournament. The feature table is scheduled to be livestreamed when only 40 players remain in the tournament. Who will have the perfect run-up to the final table and bring home the historic championship cup of the APF Vietnam 2023?
Event #17: Run It Twice
On December 11, beside the Main Event, another event also attracted a lot of attention from players. Run It Twice was a deal between two Vietnamese players, Nguyen Trung Hieu and Nguyen Viet Bao. In the end, Nguyen Trung Hieu became the side event champion with the prestigious cup. The runner-up position belonged to Nguyen Viet Bao.
